I’ve been listening Duffy and some other wonderful young female jazz and blues singers recently. Check out Melody Gardot performing “Your Heart Is As Black As Night” live at the Troubador:
Last month CBS did a piece on Melody Gardot and how she fought a brain injury to reach “chart-topping success.” It’s a wonderful story of success born of fighting through the pain and becoming in a sense re-born.
