Dedicated to a better world future, Pamela is passionate about many issues important to liberals including the environment, education, healthcare, the economy and world peace. Pamela was also a frequent contributor to Dembloggers.com, and blogged on the Unofficial Kerry Blog.

Originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts, Pamela, a single mother, resided in the Los Angeles area from January 1990 until October 2008, when she moved to Eastport, Maine. A former member of the Newburyport, MA Chamber of Commerce, Pamela also served on the Board Directors for the New England Unit of Teleflora in the mid 1980’s.

A self taught writer, poet, artist, web designer, and blog consultant, Pamela worked in the floral industry for 20 years as a designer and shop owner. Striving to uphold her single mother responsibilities, Pamela created her own line of natural bath and body products (Of The Goddess Ltd.) in 1995, that have been available online since 1997, through her retail and wholesale websites. Pamela was named “Mompreneur of The Month” on IVillage.com in December 2000, her products have been featured in Modern Bride Magazine and her business was headlined in Advanta Business Magazine for Women.

In the late ’90’s Pamela successfully self marketed her business on the internet and utilized her websites as information portals on aromatherapy, women’s health issues, and she published a series aromatherapy articles in online magazines. She’s been an activist for various women’s issues including domestic abuse, single parenting, public education and the environment. Realizing that her websites had been a source of inspiration and guidance to many women, combined with the experience gained from successfully self marketing her business on the internet, Pamela turned to political blogging during the ‘04 election cycle and has been using her voice in online activism ever since.

The Democratic Daily Blog is in syndication via Newstex, maintaining a standard of writing above the blogosphere curve. Pamela has been quoted by the NY Times and other news sources and published on The Huffington Post. During the 2006 election cycle, Pamela was an independent internet consultant to Friends of John Kerry, Inc..

L. Jewell Johnson lives in L. A. with her two children and her cat, Buster (King Buster Pharrell as he is dubbed). ‘We lost Tiramisu and Lucky in the ’06 flea infestation and miss them very much.’ Her art site, multifacetsflux.com, has been active since 1997. Her art site is about a neophyte artist exploring creative concepts, healing and regeneration.

‘I have currently returned to college to work on my art and complete my degree in fine art/multimedia studies with a minor in psychology and am busy feeding, nurturing and watering my children (even the one who’s in college). I continue to work on my goal to heal from a dysfunctional family upbringing by connecting to my deep love for art, arts & crafts, music and gardening.

I work with various concepts such as decoupage, sketching, functional art, multimedia art. I work with various media such as charcoal, tempera, oil, pine and acrylic media and any other media I can get my hands on. I am building quite a storehouse of tools for my functional art, sculpture and kinetic art. I work in functional arts because that concept allows me to pursue my larger installation projects and complete artistic freedom. I also work on my music and gardening when time permits. I feel it’s important for people without obvious opportunities to take advantage of gifts that are given to them quite accidentally. I am joyfully and thankfully supported by the concepts of my sister and greatest advocate, Char Ghivaan, a WISEHeart who acknowledged my talent and gave me the impetus to explore this side of myself. My fellow Bohemian Woman, Pamela Leavey, who is my sister from another Mother . The Open Studio Project, funded by an NEA grant, which gave me the opportunity back in 1997 to create my online artspace. I am grateful for the gardening resources of the local L. A. County Common Grounds community gardening & Master Gardener training project.

I’m always interested in breaking new ground, exploring new areas and looking for opportunities for enlightened growth.”

brief of interests~

Anyone who pushes the envelope
lights up the night
evolves beyond the standard status quo
works to take care of the world and evolve humankind
believes in miracles
has the ability to be reborn and finds joy in every precious moment of breath given to them.

~~My art~~ is online at at multifacetsflux.com and is available for patronage, commission and gallery showings. Please contact me if interested.
